Each year the Silsbee Chamber of Commerce hosts an annual banquet where approximately 500 people come to honor a “Business of the Year,” "Teacher of the Year" and “Outstanding Citizen,” that is selected by the Silsbee Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors by secret ballot.
On Thursday, March 10, 2005, The Silsbee Chamber of Commerce honored Proctor Mortuary and Lola Burgess as “Business of the Year 2005” and “Outstanding Citizen 2005.”
The 2006 annual banquet is set for Thursday, March 9, 2006, 7pm at the Silsbee High School.
United States Attorney, Matt Orwig, will deliver the keynote
