Our Roots Go Deep and We Celebrate Them in our Festivals

Fireworks Display
The City of Silsbee benefits from the generosity of Texas Fireworks Company as the Gardner family donates approximately $15,000 worth of fireworks for the Silsbee Volunteer Fire Department to help onlookers celebrate New Year. This tradition has been running strong for over 20 years and each year the shows increase in brilliance and popularity. Since the date changes each year visit our Events Calendar for information on upcoming dates.
Silsbee Little Theatre Dinner Theatre
The months of March and April bring the very popular annual dinner theatre hosted by the Silsbee Little Theatre. The theatre’s strong reputation draws attendees from all over the region and plays to a sold out crowd every year. Tickets go fast, so visit our Events Calendar for production, dates, and ticket information on upcoming events.
Cruisin Silsbee
October of each year finds vintage, antique, and sports cars flocking to Silsbee for a “Show and Shine,” parade, drag races, and lots of family fun. Check our Calendar of Events to verify dates and for a full list of activities and registration forms and rules..
Veteran's Day
Since 1994 the students of Silsbee High School have honored local veterans in the high school performing arts center. The program is centered around a theme each year and includes a guest speaker, a tribute to the veterans, posting of colors, a bagpipe performance and a Wall of Honor as a tribute to deceased veterans. A reception honoring the Veterans is held in the high school cafeteria immediately following the program. Approximately 250 people attend this event annually. Visit our Events Calendar for information on upcoming events.
Christmas in the Big Thicket
The first Saturday in December brings Silsbee out to celebrate the holiday season in downtown Silsbee. Spanning three blocks, this event has something for everyone: Craft and Food booths, live performances, pups on parade, children’s area, Make-And-Take-It at the Ice House Museum, Santa Claus photos, weiner dog races, and a one mile run. The event culminates in the annual lighted parade sponsored by the Silsbee Volunteer Fire Department. Visit our Events Calendar for information of upcoming events.
